"That tree isn't bigger enough"

"Sam, that tree isn't bigger enough!" We went tree 'shopping' with our friends the Grants. Konner (on the left) enjoyed showing Sam trees & Sam enjoyed telling Konner ALL about the little Charlie Brown tree he found. Konner said "that tree isn't bigger enough" and proceeded to show him this darling 'HUGE' tree. (see Charlie on the far right that Sam originally chose). It was one of the best moments ever. The talk that went on was amazing. The "words" Sam used to explain what he meant was priceless. The fact that Konner understood Sam was even better. We finally did find our perfect tree. 5 times the size of Sam...and lovely. He especially loves the lobster ornament that flaps his claws when you pull the string. he also really likes the pig that flies. Sometimes he's a fan of the teddy bear. Mostly, he loves the lights. The way his eyes light up when he sees that tree. It reminds me how magical this time of year really is. Merry Christmas little ones!

Halloween

Tonight I went trick-or-treating for the very first time with my daddy. Daddy took me to the neighbors house I got some M&M's and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. Mom ate my PBC already. I got some nerds and puffs at mommy's work today too. They had a Halloween parade for the kids & we all got to see our mommy's and daddy's at work. It was really fun to visit "upstairs". I also sported my spider costume for the 3rd time. Infact, I wore it ALL day today...it was fantastic & everyone thought I was the best looking spider they've ever seen!

So here I am on my first trip to the pumpkin patch--I LOVE pumpkins--I picked out the BEST ones there. (after I got us kicked out of the corn maze)...My favorite part of the pumpkin patch was the petting zoo. I got to see pot belly pigs AND sheep! they were soooo cool eating out of my hands!

GO DUCKS!

This weekend I went to my first Duck Game in Eugene. The weather was gorgeous & I got a new jersey at the end of the game, #28, Johnathan Stewart. Ducks beat Washington State BAD...it was an awesome game. Lots of yelling & screaming & I got to show everyone how I can clap my hands! We rocked the house. I got lots of comments on my cute blonde hair and really enjoyed seeing all the people. Mommy let me ride in the Ergo; it was cool.

Happy Birthday to ME

And here I am at my last party of the year...I'm a big boy--with a hat and all! I had about 25 of my little kiddo friends with me & we partied hard for an hour or so...too bad it was POURING rain outside...we wanted to own that zoo...maybe next year!

This is the scene at my birthday party at the zoo. We had a virtual LOT of strollers parked inside. There were more strollers there for my party than you'd find at the mall during Christmas...phew! Glad we captured this pic.

Birthday Starbucks

Daddy took me to Starbucks for my Birthday breakfast. I ate a banana & a marionberry muffin. The barista sang to me...and I sported a really cool hat.

So here it is...the picture you've all been waiting for...but none of you expected the train cake mommy & daddy created for me. Even I didn't know what they were up to. Daddy won the 2nd grade cake walk cake by doing his train cake...so with that, we decided to recreate it. Daddy said he didn't remember it being so much work & so complicated...um, that was like 30 years ago, dad; how do you remember? Mom's back hurt by the time it was finished...but you can tell by the pictures it was well worth it:) Mmmm

I was supposed to be born today...

Today is my "official" due date. Mom says that's something about when I was supposed to come into this world. But as nature (or the works of Dr's) would have it, I was born two days and one year ago. Soon you'll see my party pix on this site...but until then, just remember this is the day - one year ago...that you all thought of me and my mom and my dad...not sleeping. Thank you for the casseroles...we could not have made it through...mmmm...those all sound really good right now. And this year I can EAT them!

Update in my mom's words: Sam celebrated his first bday on TUESDAY the 25th! It was a big day--he took a step (hasn't taken one since) from daddy to mommy, he's in the process of cutting top teeth (3rd & 4th total), and LOVES to wander around the house on one of his many push toys (or even a trash can if it's close by) as he practices walking. He is eating everything from Indian food to Sushi to daddy's first love--mexican food. Loves BEANS...... His favorites, though, are cottage cheese, apple sauce, and banana's--he just learned to eat straight from the banana & has been mastering eating the whole thing in one bite. We visted the dr. yesterday where we confirmed Sam as the "average Sam" - he's still right down the middle of the growth chart...but not average in our eyes.

Lucca's Bday party

Getting in gear for my own parties, I downed a piece of chocolate cake with frosting...in celebration of Lucca's bday. For the rest of the party, I cruised around Lucca's deck with the princess toy...darling.

This crazy lion my friend Valerie had is the most fun. Infact, it was so much fun for mom & dad to watch me practice walking to the tune of grrrrrr huuhuuu that I got one as an early Birthday gift last week. Here are some pictures of me tearing it up. I might not be walking on my own yet but this lion gets me around pretty quick!
